Ready to come study as Cal State San Marcos? As a new ALCI student, you need to make housing arrangements before you leave your home country. You must confirm your homestay, on-campus apartment, or other housing before you arrive in San Marcos. The ALCI Office cannot reserve housing for you. International students coming to study at CSU San Marcos have several options to choose from, with both on- and off-campus housing available. Living with an American family in homestay is one of the best ways to learn about American culture and customs. Many students choose homestay for their first semester at the ALCI. CSUSM does not facilitate homestay; instead, please contact the following homestay agency directly to apply:Homestay Services International Coordinator: Jenny Cole Phone: 760-740-9244 E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
CSUSM offers two options for on-campus housing, University Village Apartments (UVA) and the Quad. These are modern, on-campus apartments designed exclusively for students attending California State University San Marcos.
Living on campus promotes greater connections to the university community, and facilitates a positive first year experience. The on-campus living experience also provides greater support for your transition to U.S. culture and university life. Living on campus can provide you with connections to participation in learning communities, involvement in student life and recreation, more access to academic resources, and opportunities to build life-long friendships.
Please apply early! Campus Housing fills up many months before the semester starts.
CSU San Marcos is conveniently located to communities throughout northern San Diego County, including San Marcos, Carlsbad, Escondido, Oceanside, and Vista.
