Interns will receive a formal written evaluation from their supervisors at least twice per year, once mid-year and one final evaluation. This feedback is an essential part of the training program.
It is expected that on ongoing discussion of the intern’s progress and his/her respective strengths and weaknesses will take place throughout the semester. Problems and deficit areas will be addressed as early and constructively as possible.
The training program also has clear guidelines for the assessment of professional impairment in a manner that is fair and preserves the due-process rights of all parties involved.
Interns will also provide an evaluation regarding weekly didactic training seminars. Clear expectations of scoring intermediate (3) to advanced (5) skills on all competency areas and corresponding elements are required for successful completion of the internship.
